In a Nutshell

Rambling along with various interests in creative industry, I currently run my routine as Graphic Designer for print and editorial design and also freelance Art Director for branding, creative content and advertising. Away from the machine and clients, I mess around with books, loading 35mm films into FM10, traveling,
or simply be found having good meals in the corner.

Upon my Bachelor certification in Art & Design given by Curtin University of Technology at 2008, I went on filling up almost a decade of my productive hours at places who let me grow. And by growing, I draw various learning curve and establish my own playgrounds to facilitate my personal design practice.

With practical knowledge in previous creative fields, I motivate myself to sharpen my creative approach—no matter the medium—to find points of exploration. This makes me open to widen my execution stand point and expanding from the raw beauty of prints to sophisticated pixels on the screen.

Equipped with self-driven energy to learn and cross-functional skills, I look forward to elevate my design and creative process for better social experience. I love to absorb as much as I could about everything under the sun, but specialize in a few things that I get excited about: from hand-drawn lettering to branding and publication, also from heartwarming ad campaign to engaging digital adventure.

Beside dwelling in design, I fond of jotting down thoughts in a glimpse, observing around, and going incognito in fiction or sipping zest of all-things to stay sane under the sun. Kind of a loner at times, enjoying being a friend of some.

I record my trip with Bonjournal and casually track down itineraries for future reference. I also keep a Medium to stay in touch with poetry and stories from time to time. Whenever I got into great conversations, I Anchor those inspiring thoughts to share... alongside making 8Tracks for mix moments just to remember. Last but not least, I store some stuffs at Wordpress for my future journey, God willing.

My personal enthusiasm on literature, typography and hand lettering has led me to the birth of Letterplatters back in 2011. This weekend studio runs by heart where I put all my excitement into collaborations and mini exhibitions to empower the grow of creative community. I am also on a mission to publish good content as part of educational purposes by releasing titles from hidden gems in town, beside create initiatives such as Letterature, Letterapy and Zine in Your Pocket framework to help raising up literacy through design.

Being half machine of the whole, I co-founded Kramakata in 2017 with my creative partner based on the shared concern upon willingness to contribute something good through functional design solution. The word krama, which translated as stage, infuse the spirit to believe in a process as well as focusing on the people to reap a better result. Together with people who come along in our journey, we build a team to strive our vision and mission organically.
